Dance Fest

My Aunt Angi runs the Utah Dance Fest, a dance competition, and I haven't been since I was a kid.  The kids and I tagged along with my mom to go this year and it was so fun!  Emery LOVED it and it made her want to take dance lessons again.
Iz and Great Grandpa watching some dancing

My snuggle buddy after a late night just the two of us at Dance Fest

Demi and Emery - cute buddies!

Van pushing Izzy.  Dangerous, but cute.  Good thing she wears a helmet.

Cute girls with a Dance Fest poster.  It was their 20th Anniversary!

A week with the Gardners

A few weeks ago we pretty much spent all week with Bekah and her kids (and her sister Jessica, too!).  We had a blast taking the kids on lots of adventures.

Monday: Hiking the Y
The kids were troopers.  We dragged all of their cute little bums up that mountain and back down.  They were proud of themselves and we were proud of them too!

I can't think of anything cuter than Lukey with no shirt.

Jess and Josie

The whole crew minus Iz and Grades....

...who were too busy eating rocks to be bothered for a picture.

Nice smile, Em!!

As if she weren't dirty enough, she decided to dump dirt on her head.  Lovely.
Tuesday: Temple Square
Have you ever been to the kids museum at the Church History Museum?  It is SO fun!  The kids would have stayed all day!

Em was in a mood - this is the best picture I could get.

Dancing!
Rocking out to some Primary music

Fishing.  With her teeth.

Umm... hello bum rolls.  So cute!  Love this chubby girl.

Thursday: Wheeler Farm
We were so sad we didn't have longer to spend here.  The kids loved it and it's totally in mom's price range (FREE).

Saturday: Hiking Stewart Falls
Aaron and Mark got to join us for this activity.  Again, the kids did great!
Aaron spurring a rock throwing party, as usual.  And building a dam in the water.

Love these 2!  Happy 7th Anniversary a few weeks ago!

Bouldering with the Rusts in Little Cottonwood

We met Aaron's sister and her family up Little Cottonwood a few weeks ago for some bouldering.  Love those Rusts - they are always up for an adventure!

feeing Izzy and cousin Lina some applesauce - there was a frenzy!

Iz ate lots of dirt that day... and wiped it on mom

Cute cousins on an adventure

Emery squished under a rock.  Cousin Rowan actually got stuck under here!

Van and Rowboat

Go North!!

After all this time, he's still got it.  Go babe!

Quick trip to Vegas

Bekah and I put all 6 of our kids in The Black Pearl (her van) and hauled the kids to Las Vegas for a quick 3 day trip to see Maggi and her boys while they were in town.  It was so fun to see them and have all of our kids be together.  And we had a much needed girls night - just the 3 of us.  Which was like a dream... everyone's dreams include pizza, pizookies and hanging out in the car talking and laughing until midnight, right?

Funny thing is... I didn't get any pictures of Maggi or her boys!!  What the heck!?!?!  We must have been too busy laughing.  :)

Izzy and Grady - adorable as usual.  These two love each other.

We got to spend some time with the Irvins while we were there too!  Van and Jersey were so excited to see each other.  They ran around giggling and holding hands every chance they got.  Usually Van hugs Jersey back when they see each other with minimal enthusiasm and a teasing smile on his face.  This time, he walked straight into her house, saw her and threw is arms in the air, waiting for his hug.  They just stood there holding each other.  So cute.

Van also almost got killed by Jersey's dad since he tried to put moves on her and smooch her too.  He's so not sneaky - he did it right in front of her dad!

Em and Jayne.  Love these girls.

Our last night there we spent at a slack lining party hosted by Guncle (Uncle Bry, aka my little bro).  He was so cute setting up 3 different lines and helping all of the kids.  And Grandpa bought pizza and soda. Thanks, dad!

And my grandparents were in town so they came too!  It sure makes me happy to know that my kids know and love these two.

Van and Great Grandma
Great Grandpa, Great Grandma and Izzy.  Grandpa loves her helmet - he thinks it frames in her cute little chubby face and accentuates her cuteness.

Great Grandpa, Van, Great Grandma and Emery... and some creepy guy in the background.  :)

You should see my brother slack line.  He's amazing!   He recently did a 300 foot line.  Holy cow!

Couldn't ask for a better travel buddy!  Love you Bek!
