January 2013

 I think most people would agree that January is kind of a drag.  Let down from the holidays.  Sugar detox.  Freezing - and I mean FREEZING (like we haven't seen much above 12 degrees in the last 2 weeks).  The flu all around.  The kind where Van has is for a whole week before Em gets it.  So we're basically home for 2 weeks.  Poor kids.  When they were feeling okay they were so stir crazy I thought Van was going to explode.  Everyone is better now though and our immune systems are better for it!!  :)  It is kind of painful how SLOW time has been crawling by though.  I'm a little anxious for a certain house to be done in February!!  SPEED UP, TIME!!!

He started on the couch and basically worked his way down, never really waking up.  He took 3 naps that day.  That's a big deal for Van.  He has to be pretty sick to even take 1. 

What happened one day when we tried to go to the library.  That's a huge kid in a little stroller.

We did have a blast building a train out of cardboard boxes, though!

And this baby.  Oh, this baby.  She's so sweet.  She just snuggled me and hummed on my shoulder for 5 minutes before I laid her down to sleep.  She does get called a boy a lot though.  I need to keep a bow on her at all times.  She has 1 tooth part way in and the 2nd just broke through.  She's always happy.  Even smiles at strangers.  She's even liking food more!!  Hooray! I won't be nursing her until she's 4, afterall.  Though don't temp me with this one - I might.  Can't believe we're down to 5ish months.  So sad.  :(
